Time and place change everything,
even the way children play.
I was a kid of the ’80s,
if we felt like blowing bubbles,
we rubbed our palms in detergent
and blew through it.
It needed work, precision,
abundant patience
sometimes we got lucky
and saw a few irregular bubbles.
Here, my kids have bubble guns,
filled with detergent,
they just press a trigger
and thousands of spherical bubbles
float everywhere.
Bubble wonderland,
reflecting rainbow colors,
kids giggling with joy,
taking it for granted.
I have seen both generations,
I think how technology changes,
lifestyle varies.
Modern kids will never know
the efforts of their parents,
the struggles ancestors.

How sweet and reminiscent of simpler days. Most of the fun and "toys" we played with were things constructed by us. Homemade go carts from discarded shopping carts or plastic milk crates, slingshots from hangers and rubber bands, with bottle caps for ammo, paper dolls cut out of magazine, and the list goes one. The time, imagination and socialization involved in building our own stuff made it all that much more valuable and enjoyable. Great topic :-)
Bubbles and kids will always go together. My children loved bubbles so much
My son loves bubbles too! He actually has a toy lawn mower he pushes along and bubbles come out. So fancy!
