Can’t See
Obstacles Blocking The Future
Obstacles are getting in the way
Obstructing the view
Making dreams a little cloudy
Reality is misty
The future is foggy
Don’t know where to step
Scare to move
Can’t see past the challenges
Force to look back
Dreading the future
Looking for a way out
Can’t see
Blinded by the hardships of life
Stuck in the same place
Greeted by depression
The obstacles make the light go out
It is dark
Look backwards and met with guilt of past mistakes
Look forward and met with fear and anxiety
Look down and met with depression, and defeat
There is only one more way to look
Look up and be met with power, love, peace, and joy
Look up and there is light
Look up and there is a plan for the future
Look up and all the obstacles are easier to get around
Look up and trust the Lord's guidance
The only one to follow blindly
Look up and no longer stuck
Look up and dreams becomes reality
Look up the view is better
Look up to see clearer
Look up!

Love the poem it kept me engaged and encouraged.
The way you keep repeating “Can’t see” and then switch to “Look up” really hits the feeling of being stuck in a loop of fear and guilt, like you’re trapped in your own head. I felt that shift as a kind of breath — like the poem is not just describing the fog, but actively trying to pull itself out of it. The line about looking back and meeting guilt is something I think a lot of people don’t talk about openly, but it’s so real. When you wrote this, did you have a specific moment in mind that made you want to say “look up” instead of staying in the fog?
Love this poem. Time to look up for the answers one doesn’t know yet only the Lord 🙌🏾
