On Combatting Despair
Instructions for a Feeling
We are in the last hours
of the Wood Snake year,
and it shows.
*
The cosmic shrugs are getting longer,
harder – birth contractions marking
the quantum field working to rebalance.
*
It’s been easy to feel darkness:
rage, hopelessness, the maddening,
snarling wounds of despair.
*
All of those feelings are natural,
signs of our shared consciousness.
The Shadow yearns to be recognized.
*
So recognize it.
Honor it. Pay attention to it.
Just don’t serve it tea, eh?
*
Remember we have within us
the power of the Eternal Present Moment,
the place where Life is lived, really lived.
*
And in that Moment,
take care of your side of the street
by expressing your own humanity.
*
Remember that you are a miracle,
the product of billions of events
beyond your control,
*
putting you in this place,
during this time,
and reading these words.
*
Use your precious Moments
to sow small kindnesses
that don’t cost you a thing.
*
Smile at a stranger.
Hold the door for an elder.
Let the frazzled driver into your lane.
*
Tell your loved ones
what they mean to you,
simply, truly, honestly.
*
Be thankful for the miracles of your life,
big and small, for “there is no
order of magnitude for miracles.”
*
And at the end of the day,
know you have done your part
to bring Love back into the world,
*
and tomorrow,
and the next day, and the next,
do it all again.
*
This is how we win back this world,
and how you
bring yourself back into sanity.

“Don’t serve it tea” 👏 👏 this is great
This is a great way to show how someone can help bring peace and happiness back into the world through small activities. If everyone did this, then things might just look a little better than they do now.
