where have I been

you ask me where have you been?

so long has it been from where

i las was heard from, long lost

the words of a poet.

I think, I could tell you all

the grand stories I can

Imagine in my mind.

All the adventures that have never

happened, tall tales for

long nights.

Instead, I can give you a general sense

of things of each year. Time and time again

I could tell you every little detail of things

that do not matter, things

can only be told

in a general sense, as too much

will expose the nerve endings

of a life that once was.
