Chantilly took her slice of cake, along with a glass of milk, into the living room to eat while she watched the latest episode of her favorite daytime talk show. Settling onto the chintz-covered couch, she turned the TV on with the remote, switching the channels until she found the one she was searching for. Today was her first day of vacation, and even though Franklin had to work all week, she had every intention of enjoying it to the hilt.

Special Agent Thomas J. Beeman stood at the edge of the brackish green backwater, looking over his surroundings. Taking a deep breath of the humid, putrid-smelling air, he almost gagged. The Mentholatum that he normally used to cover crime scene smells didn’t seem to work here. It appeared the stench of death and decay was one he’d never get used to.

Baby Gurl Blondie
On Sunday, the girls and I met a friend of ours at my ex's house to haul away the girls' Ford Escapes, which we can no longer afford to fix. My ex had threatened to give them away to someone, instead of waiting for us to move them when we could, even though they were his daughters' rigs. Instead of letting someone have them for nothing, I decided to allow a friend to haul them to a junkyard for half the money.

Moving.... Top Story - September 2025.
No one ever said that moving would be easy. You have to pack all your stuff and load everything into the moving vehicles. Then, after driving to the new location, you have to unload and unpack everything at the new location. While making sure not to forget to clean both houses as you go along. Plus, having to change your address and or phone number with EVERYONE.

Lately, I've been absent a lot from both Vocal and ViM. Many of my closest friends know and understand why I have been, but there are several who are probably wondering what's going on with Ol' Mother Combs.
